INTERNATIONAL 7 & 8 YEAR OLD HORSES

€300 each entry
Entry fee includes all FEI fees including MCP and Manure Disposal fees.

Qualification
The top nine horse and rider combinations in the 7 & 8 Year Old class at each of the three venues will be invited to compete in the CSIYH1* class. The qualifiers will be judged under SJI rules, Article 238.2.2. For more information, please click here.

Final
International Competition No. 12 is confined to the top 50% of horse and rider combinations based on points gained over Competition Nos. 4 and 7. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st – 100 points, 2nd – 99 points, 3rd – 98 points, etc. No points will be awarded to horse and rider combinations that are eliminated or retire. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying place, all competitors on equal points will qualify. In the event of a withdrawal, the next best in line will be included. Replacements will be accepted up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time. In addition, horse and rider combinations that complete a double clear round in Competition No. 7 will qualify for the Final if not already qualified.

Rules
- International Competition Nos. 4, 7 and 12 will be run under FEI rules. Exhibitors are advised to familiarise themselves with the FEI Rules & Regulations.
- CSIYH1* horses cannot compete in any CSIO5* competitions.
- All horses and riders must be registered with the FEI.
- FEI passports will not be required for national horses.
- All horses must be presented for the Horse Inspection on Tuesday 8 August.
- Starting order will be by draw. 7 year old horses will jump first.
- Fence heights – 1.40m (7 year olds), 1.45m (8 year olds).
- The FEI boot rule for young horses (Ref. FEI Art. 257.2.4) will apply
- Horses competing in the CSIYH1* classes will be stabled in a secure area.

Vaccinations
Vaccinations must be in line with FEI requirements.
Influenza vaccination for all horses competing in FEI competitions requires a vaccination within six months + 21 days of the competition. Please use the table available here as a guide.

Cups / Trophies
Cup No. 60 – The “John Higgins” Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented to the owner of the winner of the International 7 & 8 Year Old Championship.
Cup No. 154 – The “Corry” Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented to the winning rider of the “John Higgins” Trophy. To be won three times in all by the same rider before becoming the property of the rider.
