2. Show Operations

Can I request a stable location, or can my horses be stabled together?

We allocate stables according to classes and unfortunately cannot accommodate any specific requests.

What do I get for my entry fee?

Stabling, including hay and bedding.

When can I arrive with my horse / pony to be put in their stable?

Horses / ponies can only arrive at their allocated times.  The arrival times will be allocated once all entries have been processed.

The following list of riding centres may have stabling available for exhibitors who may need to bring horses or ponies with them which are due in the RDS towards the end of the Show week.

Please note the RDS is providing this list as an aid to exhibitors ONLY and all livery conditions, costs and insurance implications are between the exhibitor and the riding centre.  Exhibitors are free to use any other centre of their choice and knowledge.

Is car parking provided with my entry?

No. Exhibitors can pre-book car / truck / trailer / caravan space at Marian College, UCD, Merrion Cricket Club and Old Belvedere Rugby Football Club at a set fee.  Please see the Exhibitor Parking page on this website.

Can I bring my horse in early or leave early?

Exhibitors must adhere to the arrivals and departures times listed in the Schedule.  Exhibitors not required for Parades must vacate on the day their class adjudication is finished.

3. Tickets and Entry

How many tickets do I receive with my entry?

A wristband system will be in place at the Show. Each Exhibitor will receive a voucher(s) which must be surrendered upon arrival at the Showgrounds in exchange for a wristband.  This voucher is not an admission ticket and must be used to redeem a wristband at the designated areas.  An exhibitor will not be permitted to exchange tickets or collect wristbands on behalf of another individual, groom or rider etc.  Each wristband will be fastened by a member of the RDS Ticketing Staff.  The holder of an authorised and un-tampered wrist band will be entitled to come and go from the premises during the 5 days of the Show from the 9 to 13 of August 2023.  Please note that lost, mislaid or broken wristbands will NOT be replaced free of charge.

Exhibitors will of course still be able to carry out their normal preparations during the two days before the Show.
