Aim
To showcase quality Irish breeding stock, to give recognition to the breeders and to encourage the production of quality young stock that should in turn rise to the top in the show and competition disciplines.

Entry Fee
RDS Members: €300 each entry; Non-Members: €340 each entry.
There is no separate entry fee for foals; it is covered under the mares entry fee.

Rules
Mares in Classes 36 may be entered in the Ridden Hunter Classes provided they are eligible.
Prizes will be held for Class 36, Stinted Mares, until evidence is provided that the mares have produced a foal within 11 months from the last day of the Show or until a veterinary certificate is furnished stating that the mare has prematurely aborted the foal.
All foals must be shown with their dam.

1st €2,000, 2nd €1,000, 3rd €750, 4th €500, 5th €250
Classes 33 & 34;
1st €1,000, 2nd €600, 3rd €400, 4th €300, 5th €200
Class 35 (Foals by a Thoroughbred Sire or out of a Thoroughbred Mare):
1st €1,250, 2nd €750, 3rd €500
A Special Breeders’ Prize of €150 will be presented to the breeder of the highest placed Irish bred mare / foal in each class.
A Special Prize of €470 for the Champion and €205 for the Reserve Champion Hunter Broodmare will apply.

Parade
Champion and Reserve Champion are required to participate in the Parade of Champions on Sunday 9 August. Further details are available here.
