RDS is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We are committed to delivering digital accessibility for all users and this website has been developed in line with recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These standards have guided our approach to design, content, and functionality, helping us create an experience that is as inclusive and user-friendly as possible for everyone. The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Videos

Some of the videos on our site are shared natively or from YouTube. These may not always have perfect captions or audio descriptions. We’re reviewing them and making changes where we can. All new videos will include reviewed captions going forward.

Livestreams

Providing fully accurate, synchronised captions for livestream videos in real time is currently not achievable due to the unpredictable nature of live content and limitations of current captioning technology. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that livestream captions meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standards during broadcasts.

Furthermore, due to limited resources, we are currently unable to provide reviewed captions for recorded versions of these livestreams. We understand the importance of accessible content and are actively exploring options to improve captioning support in the future.

Third-party tools

Third-party applications: Some third-party applications integrated into our site are not fully accessible. Despite our best efforts, we cannot control the accessibility of these elements. Those are listed below:

Issuu - Flipbook implementation for PDF viewing on web pages. Has known issues related to keyboard accessibility and screen reader access
YouTube - Embedded videos used throughout the website. May contain issues related to close captions and keyboard navigation
Google Maps - Embedded on the website. Has known issues related to internal page scrolling and keyboard navigation
Rolex embed - 3rd party iframe with source code out of RDS control
