Leopardstown stabling secured as overflow again.
Following on from last year’s busy Show, a further increase in entries for 2017 means that space will again be at a premium at the RDS. Provision for additional stabling has been made, but the increase in entries means that owners and riders will be required to vacate the stables once their involvement at the Show has finished. This requirement has always been in place at the Dublin Horse Show, in fact, it was in operation last year and worked successfully thanks to the understanding of many competitors. Their co-operation will again be necessary to allow the RDS to offer the breadth of classes that is planned for this year’s Show.
Show Director, Pat Hanly said: “This is the second year in a row that we have a had an increase in numbers participating, which is obviously a positive sign for the industry. However, similar to last year, we will require competitors’ understanding and participation in the stabling roster to ensure that the Show runs smoothly. The Show has always operated on this basis, but the increase in numbers means it will be more of a requirement than ever before. Boxes in Leopardstown will be made available as an overflow, as they were last year, and we would ask that people be mindful of their fellow competitors and vacate the stabling area once their class has finished.”
