Stablelab Announce Sponsorship at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Ireland at the Stena Line Dublin Horse Show

03 Jul 2018

One of Ireland’s most exciting tech scale-ups, Stablelab, has been announced as sponsor of the Stablelab Stakes at the Dublin Horse Show for the next three years.

Starting in 2013, Sligo-based Stablelab quickly became a recognised brand in the equine veterinary industry. In just its fourth year of business, in 2017, it generated €3 million in sales and is on course to hit revenues in excess of €10 million by 2020. It is currently used in 18 countries with its primary market in America. Stablelab’s handheld device, which is made in Ireland, is used by horse vets to diagnose infections and determine if antibiotic treatment is working or not.

With his veterinary enterprise, Dr Heinrich Anhold is following in his parents’ footsteps who are also equine entrepreneurs: his German father and Irish mother set up Horse Holiday Farm in Grange, Co. Sligo; a successful trail-riding business that also targets foreign markets.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Dr. Heinrich Anhold, Stablelab Founder & CEO said: “In 2013 we launched our product at the Dublin Horse Show, so we are delighted to be back within five years as a sponsor of an international class. Stablelab has been on an exciting journey over the past few years and we have ambitious plans for growth during the lifetime of this sponsorship. So this partnership makes a lot of sense for us and provides great visibility with our clients both internationally and at home.”

“Stablelab is one of the most exciting young businesses in Ireland right now, equine or otherwise” said Michael Duffy, Chief Executive of the RDS. “It has rapidly become a global leader in its area. Heinrich and his team are really passionate about what they do and we are really very pleased to have Stablelab as sponsors for the next three years for the Stablelab Stakes. For many people over the generations, summer revolves around the Show. We want to ensure that it maintains its high standards for many generations to come and sponsorship such as this is vital for that to happen.”

The Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ at the Stena Line Dublin Horse Show is the pinnacle event for the horse sport industry in Ireland and considered one of the best equestrian shows in the world. This year’s event takes place from 8–12 August at the RDS and in addition to world class international equestrian competitions it will also include a range of other activities, including over 300 shopping stalls, roving entertainment, food and drink outlets around the grounds and National Show Jumping finals for all ages. Over 1,500 horses and ponies will compete across 133 classes and competitions during the five-day event.

With a prize fund of €50,000, the Stablelab Stakes is the main show jumping event on the Thursday of the Show and one of just eight competitions that carry world ranking points at this year’s Show. It takes place at 15:30 on Thursday 9th August.
